Much more than a stunning beach

That connection can be felt when surfing the waves, gazing at the ocean while pelicans hover effortlessly in the sky, seeing whales cheerfully jump to the surface as they move along the coast in the winter moths, or gazing at the milky way in the endless night sky. You can also feel it walking barefoot, doing yoga, meditating in front of a beautiful sunset, or interacting with the locals.

 

San Agustinillo beach is divided into two long beaches and two bays, and each part has its own charm. Some pristine streches are ideal for running, walking, doing yoga, and connecting with oneself. Others are popular surf spots and again others are great for snorkeling, playing with the waves, or enjoying a guacamole or ceviche at one of the restaurants.

 

Despite being a very small town, San Agustinillo has several excellent restaurants, shops of all kinds, a laundry and an ATM. Conveniently located between Mazunte and Zipolite, and between Puerto Escondido and Huatulco, all the attractions of the area are within reach from here. Apart from the access to many beautiful beaches, San Agustinillo and Mazunte in particular are also attractive destinations for those interested in yoga, meditation and traditional healing practices. There are several spaces that authentically teach the practice of traditional yoga, the most famous being the Hridaya Yoga center. 

 

About a 20 minute walk from the Nani, Mazunte is defined by its alternative community and its affinity with esotericism. Here you can find practitioners for all kinds of alternative healing practices, such as acupuncture, cupping or ice baths, as well as a wide range of activities to help you expand your horizons, from extatic dances to tantra workshops. 

Known for being a nudist beach with a large gay community, Zipolite offers a unique liberal atmosphere. Only a 15-minute taxi ride away, it offers plenty of options for dining and spending the day on a beautiful, long beach, in a very laid back environment.
